Or drive off on a cross-country trek in your fully outfitted campervan.
Why Drive A Campervan Rental For The Ultimate Road Trip?
You don’t know camping until you bring along your Tucson campervan rental. Sleep at a state park and stop worrying about what it’s like outside. Then, it’s off to anywhere you want at your own pace. With an Escape Campervan, you’re wandering as you feel in the moment, knowing that each campervan outing is special.
Of course, you’ll need an epic campervan for an awesome campervan vacation! All our vehicles are easy to drive and have a bed, 2-burner propane stove, and an iconic paint job. Unlike an oversized RV, campervans handle like any car and can fit on most tent camping sites. You can even disperse camp using your Escape Campervan — just take extra care to abide by the Leave No Trace principles.
What Tucson Campervan Rental Will You Choose?
You have a few different models when picking your Tucson campervan rental. Most choices come down to campervan size, passenger space, and what you intend to do.
The Mavericks campervan is our most in-demand campervan. With the Mavericks, you’ll get a soft queen-size bed, a foldable table and seats, a two-burner Coleman propane stove, built-in fridge, and a sink. It’s a go-to rental when you want a quick drive to the Lost Dutchman State Park. Still, the Mavericks also works well for a family campout at Joshua Tree National Park. Tack on a rooftop sleeper, and the kids can even get their own space.
The Big Sur campervan is a tad bigger than the Mavericks and brings you more room for your crew. You still get a built-in kitchen in the van, but you won’t have to fold down the rear seats to use the van’s bed. This model is perfect if you want a little extra storage space or more legroom for expansive road trips further away.

About Joshua Tree National Park
Two distinct desert ecosystems, the Mojave and the Colorado, come together in Joshua Tree National Park. A fascinating variety of plants and animals make their homes in a land sculpted by strong winds and occasional torrents of rain. Dark night skies, a rich cultural history, and surreal geologic features add to the wonder of this vast wilderness in southern California. Come explore for yourself!
Joshua Tree National Park is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Visitation increases as temperatures moderate in the fall, peaks during the spring wildflower season, and diminishes during the heat of summer. Some areas of the park are designated for day use only. Visitor centers keep separate hours; please see descriptions.
