If you’d like additional room for your stuff, or if going on a longer, more epic trip, look into the Big Sur campervan. Here you get the same amenities as the Mavericks. Yet it’s large enough that you don’t need to fold down the bucket seats to pull out your queen-size bed. The Big Sur also includes more storage space. So feel free to take more gear. The Best Way To Get To Monument Valley From Phoenix!

When driving off from the Phoenix Escape depot, it should take about five hours to reach Monument Valley, heading north along I-17 N. Entrance fees are $10/person or $20/car, and kids under 10 are free. 

You’ll need a permit for hiking, camping, and other activities. The 17-mile Valley Drive loop is self-guided, but you’ll need to schedule a tour with an approved company to see other parts of Monument Valley.

Where Can You Camp At Monument Valley?

Most visitors like to stay at The View Campground in the park. You can also stay at Monument Valley KOA or Goulding’s RV & Campground. Most campers prefer to visit Monument Valley in the spring or fall, before the temperature becomes too hot.
