Santa Cruz, The Ultimate 2 Person Campervan

NEW! The most fuel- and space-efficient of all of our models, the Santa Cruz was designed with spontaneity, freedom, and ease in mind – allowing you to chase the surf breaks, take detours, and find hidden gems. This latest model is perfect for solo road trippers or couples who don’t need the extra space that the Big Sur or Mavericks offer. Get ready to zip around town, navigate tight turns, and get off the beaten track – without sacrificing any comforts or functionality.

Available in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas for trips starting May 1, 2019.

All of our campervans for rent are fully-equipped, custom-built, and hand-painted. They’re perfect for long weekend getaways, cross country bucket-list road trips, and national park tours. When you compare campervans to RVs, our small campervans provide functional comforts and the flexibility and freedom to get off the beaten path.

Santa Cruz’s innovative layout makes it easy to plop into bed after a day of exploring. The full-time bed set up in the back is easy and functional. The space-saving kitchen in the back of the van includes a 1-burner pullout stove, 3.5-gallon sink & water tank, and dual-powered refrigerator. Store your clothes in the drawers, grab your groceries & hit the road!

It was my first time renting Santa Cruz van after multiple trips on Maverick. Santa Cruz feels like driving a car which is a big plus. Its much better on gas than bigger vans. It might be small for two travelers. I had a problem with a dead battery which was handled by road side assistance very efficiently. 4 ⭐️ because when I picked up and drove a van I instantly heard a nose a bad tire makes. I came back to see if I could get another van but there was no availability.

We had a great time the little Santa Cruz van we rented. The weather turned cold and the snow pelted us and made enjoying the outdoors a little difficult. So, if we rent again we will choose a bigger van to have someplace to get out of wind and snow. The van ran nicely, got good gas mileage. The paint job is a bit embarrassing and you get a lot of stairs. Kitchen kit was pretty good I brought a kettle and a rubber spatula which was good. Their knife was very dull and made mush of even cucumbers. Bedding was very worn holes and pilly and they forgot the snap on curtain. We got some blankets and tied them up the best we could to cover front. Their pillows were flat as pancakes. We did stay warm sleeping in 12 degrees at Grandcanyon in April with their duvets and our sleeping bags. Just warmed up van before quite hours and woke up early. Be sure to ask about left behind camping equipment when you pickup your van. They have a cupboard with food and little things that are handy. I left a dishpan which was very helpful to me. The staff was great check in and out were quick and smooth. I do wish they had more check in /out times. With flights the times are tricky and we had to stay in a hotel one night and then wait till 1:30 to pickup the next day 😔

We rented a Santa Cruz van for our trip to see the Mighty 5 in Utah. The car was perfect for the two of us! Plenty of sleeping room and storage space. The gas stove didn’t come with propane so just make sure to buy your own before going too off the grid.

Santa Cruz was small but fine for couple under 5’6” tall. Easy to handle and good gas mileage.
