Our most popular campervan is the Mavericks. This Escape campervan gives you a soft queen-size bed, foldaway in-van table and benches, a 2-burner propane stove, dual powered refrigerator, and a sink. The Mavericks is perfect for romantic getaways to the Southwest region. But it can sleep 5, so feel free to bring friends, too. 

If you’d like extra room for your family and gear, or if you’re going on a longer, more epic trip, you might want to try the Big Sur campervan. Here you get the same amenities as the Mavericks. Yet it’s large enough that you don’t have to fold down the bucket seats to unfold your queen-size bed. The Big Sur also includes additional storage space for camping and other equipment. You can also use the rooftop sleeper.

Where Can You Pick Up Your Campervan Rental for Havasu Falls?

You’ll need to pick up your Escape campervan in Phoenix or Las Vegas to begin your campervan trip to Havasu Falls. Our Phoenix location is on E Jefferson St, which is only a five-minute Lyft, Uber, or cab ride from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Getting To Havasu Falls From Phoenix

From the Phoenix Escape depot, it should take about four hours to reach the trailhead at Hualapai Hilltop, heading north, starting on I-17 North. You’ll hike from Hualapai Hilltop eight miles into the Havasupai Indian Reservation to Supai Village and then another two miles to the campground. You can also take a helicopter into the village, but it can be expensive and may not be available.

We recommend planning your trip to arrive at Hualapai Hilltop the day before you plan to hike in. Please note that reservations are necessary to hike into the Havasupai Indian Reservation and visit Supai Village and Havasu Falls. Reservations fill up fast the day they open up permits for the year (usually around Feb 1), so plan well in advance. The 2020 camping prices are $100/person/weekday night and $125/person/weekend night and include hiking access into the park. All permits are for three nights.

Where Do I Camp In Havasu Falls?

We recommend camping overnight in your campervan at Hualapai Hilltop before you visit Havasu Falls. When you have a campervan, you can relax in your queen-sized bed and have a kitchen to prep your camping meals. If you arrive the night before, we recommend cooking a warm dinner and a small breakfast at the trailhead before hiking in. Then once you return, you can make lunch from your campervan.

Once you hike in, there’s only one main campground in Havasupai. You can pick up your camping permit at Supai Village. Camping spots are not assigned but are on a first-come, first-served basis. You can camp on either side of the creek that runs through the campsite. You can also make a reservation to stay at the lodge within the village.
