Your Guide To Banff National Park Campervan Rentals

Book A Campervan

If you’re heading off to Banff National Park, don’t forget to pick up an Escape campervan. Start your epic road trip at our Calgary campervan depot. Then it’s easy to explore Canada Olympic Park, The Front Range, and everything the park offers. With a Banff campervan rental, you can stow away your luggage and equipment in a mobile home base. Then, after a long day, prepare an awesome meal from your camper van kitchen and relax in a comfortable queen-size bed.

Forget RVs, Get A Banff Campervan Rental For The Ultimate Trip

You’ve probably known people who got a Banff RV rental for their vacation. However, there are multiple reasons to reserve a camper van rental instead. An Escape campervan has many of the same amenities that an RV does but in a cooler, sleeker form. Similar to an RV, a campervan comes with a working kitchen, a table and bench, and a queen-size bed. However, everything is smaller for increased functionality.

For instance, the bed only pulls out when you’d like to use it. And you just open up the back doors to access the kitchen. So it’s like you’re driving this hidden campsite ready to be unfurled at any moment.

With a camper van rental, your vacation isn’t confined to wide roads or overcrowded RV campsites. Your camper van can easily fit into smaller tent sites. And camper vans don’t need the electric or sewer hookups like an RV. Camper vans also work well for dispersed camping!

Our Big Sur Campervans Have Everything You Need For Banff National Park

Our Calgary and Vancouver depots carry our Big Sur campervan rentals. The Big Sur has a comfortable queen-size bed, foldaway in-van table and benches, a 2-burner propane stove, dual powered refrigerator, and a sink. It sleeps up to five people when you use the optional rooftop sleeper. The Big Sur also comes with additional storage space. So feel free to pack extra camping gear.

Escape campervans rentals include our unique hand-painted exteriors that help you show off your adventurous spirit. You can also rent campervan extras for Banff such as picnic tables, camp chairs, and child safety seats so you don’t have to bring everything from home. And with every rental, you’ll get individual customer care and 24/7 roadside assistance absolutely free!

If you’re coming from our Seattle or Portland depots, those depots rent out our Mavericks campervans, which are more compact than the Big Sur but have many of the same amenities.

Getting To Banff National Park From Calgary

Starting from the Calgary Escape depot, it should take less than 2 hours to reach Banff, heading west on Trans-Canada 1. The daily admission fee is $10.00/adult or $20.00/car. Entrance is included if you have the Parks Canada Discovery Pass.

What Are Nice Places To Camp In Banff?

Most visitors like to camp at Tunnel Mountain Village I or Two Jack Main. But better call first, though, as you may need reservations — especially in the high season from June 26 to October 4. Then again, you won’t need a large spot or sewer hookups, which means you can stay almost anywhere!

For smaller, more intimate campsites, make your way over to Johnston Canyon Campground or Waterfowl Lakes Campground. Or give dispersed camping a go outside of Banff in your campervan. Just know, dispersed camping means no modern amenities, so please practice the Leave No Trace principles.
